What is illuminance?
When the lighting lights upon an object, we say surface of this object is being illuminated. The lighting level of the surface is measured by illuminance, and the illuminance is the amount of luminous flux per unit area (total luminous flux incident on a surface divided the acreage of the surface).
The origin of light distribution angle
The light distribution curve has a half-light intensity angle of 26° and belongs to a rotationally symmetric light distribution.
(The half-light intensity angle is the half-value angle, which is the normal direction of the center of the light source, and the angle of 50% of the maximum cd value.)
The maximum intensity value of the luminaire *0.5 and the intersection of the light curve is the angle of the obtained light type.

Installation guide video
Tracron M3 tracklights installation guidelines
Benefiting from AKZU's flexible and convenient track lighting system, Tracron track lighting fixtures have various installation modes: pendant mounting, ceiling mounting, recessed mounting, horizontal mounting on wall, vertical mounting on wall, greatly convenient for museum lighting design, art museum lighting design and gallery lighting design.
Pendant mounting
When the space is high, the structure of the ceiling is irregular or there is no ceiling, pendant mounting is the best choice. Tracks can be installed at suitable height by pendant cable or pendant rod.
Ceiling mounting
Ceiling mounting is one of the most convenient and quick installation mode, when the space height is suitable and a flat ceiling is available, or there is suitable crossbeam structure on the ceiling.
Recessed mounting
When the space height is suitable, recessed mounting can be applied to get the tracks well-hidden into the ceiling, obtaining the most high grade, clean and comfortable integral effect.
Single ceiling mounting
For no-ceiling and track mounting unavailable space, or exhibits positioned quite far away even in arc route, single ceiling mounting would be the best choice.
Single recessed mounting
For ceiled limited-height space or independent space, single recessed mounting ensures luminaire installed closely on ceiling, avoid repression under low space height, and simplify lighting space.
Tracron M3 light types application
Direct spot: 6° and below
Direct spot 6° provides strong brightness contrast to the exhibits and environment, generates great visual impact. It can be used in high roof space with great highlighting effect.
Narrow spot: 7°-10°
Narrow spot 9°, precise lighting and extreme uniformity, is available to use in high ceiling and attach visitors' full attention to exhibits.
Spot: 11°-25°
Spot 16° with strong brightness focuses on exhibit, gives enough contrast as the environment and let the exhibit stands out.
Flood: 25° -45°
Flood 26° creates a medium-size, soft and bright lighting pattern, indicating the true texture of the exhibit. It is particular suitable for medium-size paintings and three-dimensional works.
Broad flood: 45°-60°
Broad flood 47° with pure and soft lighting can perfectly presents the details of the exhibit to visitors; It is suitable for large flat exhibits and also good to use as background lighting of three-dimensional exhibits.
Oval flood (Horizontal)
Oval flood 54°x24° generates a horizontal elliptical pattern, soft long lighting, it is ideal use for long strip paintings.
Oval flood (Vertical)
Oval flood 24°x54° provide s a vertical elliptical pattern lighting. It is perfect for calligraphy and painting artworks.
Wallwash
Continuously splicing multiple wallwash can offer great uniformity lighting for a space from the top ceiling to the bottom with impressive spacious atmosphere; Wallwash is particular suitable for large flat exhibits and anaglyph artworks.
