The Xinjiang Museum is one of the first batch of national first-class museums. It is an art palace that collects Xinjiang's historical and cultural artifacts and displays unique cultural features of the region, including silk, wool, cotton and linen fabrics, documents and slips written in multiple languages, and wood carvings from the Jin and Tang Dynasties, clay figurines and figures on paper and silk, flower and bird paintings, bronzes with Scythian cultural characteristics. In addition, there are some paleontological fossils and ancient corpse specimens.

Xinjiang Historical Relics Exhibition

"Xinjiang Historical Relics Exhibition" is the basic display of the general history of Xinjiang region. The exhibition closely follows the history of exchanges and integration of the Chinese nation, and the mutual learning of civilizations along the Silk Road.

It displays nearly 2,000 fine cultural relics from the pre-Qin period to the Qing Dynasty, among them, nearly 500 new exhibits are shown to the public for the first time. Most of these exhibits are major archaeological discoveries in Xinjiang in recent years. They systematically display the splendid history and culture of Xinjiang and show the beauty of Chinese history and culture.
